WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

In their continuing efforts to improve food safety and shelf life, food safety professionals from industry, academia and regulatory agencies have been using software packages for predicting the growth, survival and death of pathogens in food. These computational tools are also used increasingly for quantitative microbial risk assessment.

INTENDED AUDIENCE

Food microbiologists (researchers and laboratory managers), food safety officers and microbial risk assessors interested in the use of databases, probabilistic analysis of food safety domains and predictive microbiology.

PREREQUISITES

Basic PC skills and use of Microsoft Excel is desirable.

PRESENTERS

Presenters for ComBase workshops are undertaken by staff from full or associate members of ComBase
